The economic growth of Jharkhand is slow and the employment scenario is very grim in the state. It results in migration of meals to bigger cities of India living behind women, children and aged person to remain idle in their houses. PJSS is sincere for the socio-economic development of the poor women through formation of Self-Help Group since year 2000. PJSS adopt three-pronged strategy once the group is formed. The first one is to conduct regular meetings with them to make them organized, second is to train them on better management of Self-Help Groups and regular savings and third one is to link them with banks and other financial institutions for entrepreneurship activities. In 2013-14, 36 women SHGs were promoted in the villages of Hazaribag, Chatra, Koderma and Ramgarh districts in Jharkhand by PJSS. The members of the SHGs were regularly trained in management of group affairs and internal lending process in a better manner.
