- Health awareness program: Towards creating a healthier society by popularizing preventive mneasures, PJSS frequently organizes awareness programs on health and hygiene. In 2013-14, PJSS organized health- weeks and health camps in the villages of Barhi,Chauparn, churchuLundru, Mangura, Dhawala, Hurhuru, Punai and Keredari Sadar blocks of Hazaribag district in Jharkhand for different age Group.
- Information about conducting these health programs are widely canvassed by PJSS well in advance. The organized health-weeks and health camps focused on diseases like TB, Malaria, Kalazar, Eye, Ear and Dental problems and health issues like Ante-Natal and Post-Natal Health care and Mother and Child Health (MCH). These camps were well supported by the local community. Through this effort of PJSS, a good number of village populations (direct and indirect) were Successfully benefited.
- Celebration of important national events :-
During the year, national events like Independence Day, Republic Day and Women’s Day were celebrated in all working districts of PJSS with great enthusiasm and larger community participation. On these occasions, participation was urged by the representatives of PJSS to come forward and work for the progress of the state with unity and solidarity. - Nukkad Nataks(Street Plays) :-
In 2013-2014, cultural programs in the form of “Nukkad Nataks” were organized by the cultural team of PJSS at different slums/school of the Barhi and Daru blocks in Hazaribag district in Jharkhand with an objective to bring right awareness among the common mass on social evils like dowry, trafficking, HIV/AIDS, pollution, women rights and health. Local community watched these “Nukkad Nataks” in good numbers and benefited.
